Holy Jesus, grant us grace
in that sacrifice to place
All our trust for life renewed,
Pardoned sin, and promised good.
Grant us grace to sing your praise,
'Round your throne through endless days,
Ever with the sons of light:
"Blessing, honor, glory, might!"
The bride eyes not her garments,
But her dear Bridegroom’s face;
I will not gaze at glory
But on my King of grace;
Not at the crown He giveth,
But on His pierced hand;
The Lamb is all the glory
Of Immanuel’s land.
Romans 5:8–9 (ESV)
"but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God."
