Going hand in hand with the message of yesterday’s hymn, Hymn of the Day: Though You Slay Me, comes one of my favorite hymns of all time. Now, I know one of my first “Hymn of Day” posts was on this hymn, but you really need to listen to this music video for yourself. The singing, done by Jimmy Needham, is marvelous, but the brief biographical sketch of the original author of “It is Well with My Soul” by John Piper at the 3:00 min. mark is the best part of this video. My first post also has the biography of Horatio Spafford and you can look at that here: Hymn of the Day: It is Well With My Soul.
Now take a listen to the music and words of a great hymn!
