So, before you get all, “You already did this song!” Yes, I did, but I did Fanny Crosby’s original hymn. This time I am continuing to use Sovereign Grace’s album “Sooner Count the Stars” for my Hymn of the Day. Yesterday I shared Hymn of the Day: Sooner Count the Stars. The day before that I shared Hymn of the Day: Lamb of God.

Today I want to share Blessed Assurance, which is inspired by the chorus of Crosby’s great hymn. I encourage you to watch the video below to get the feel of the music because it is way different than the hymn!

The thing I love about this song is that it really does fit the title. This song reminds me of my assurance in Christ. My debt is paid and I’ve been made free! The world, the flesh, and the devil have no hold on me any longer. Christ has set me free forever! O what a foretaste of glory divine!
